Bio

My name is Jared Isham and I am an independent filmmaker.  I have learned a lot of things in the past ten years of training and producing content as an indie filmmaker and I enjoy sharing what I have learned in order to help my fellow filmmakers and so that they hopefully avoid the mistakes I made and make use of the gems I have discovered.

I attended Azusa Pacific University and studied in the Cinema Broadcast Arts department from 2000 – 2004 before getting my first job in the industry working as a Library Service Representative at the post production house Laser Pacific Media Corporation.  After my 1 1/2 years in post I started freelancing as a Production Assistant in TV and Film with various stints as a Location Sound Mixer or Boom Op.

In 2006 I started heavily pursuing production on my first feature film and in 2007 I produced along with Ulrich Schwarz and Tony Wang the western, BOUNTY,  where I also acted as writer/director.  In 2008 I signed with Barnholtz Entertainment for Domestic distribution and on August 11, 2009, BOUNTY was released nation wide on Blu-Ray, DVD and Video on Demand with Lionsgate.

In December of 2010 I signed with Echelon Studios to represent BOUNTY to the international audiences with a now world wide release.

I have been working as a freelance Motion Graphics Artist, Graphic Designer, VFX Artist and Editor since making my film in order to pay the bills — Filmmaking is a passion more than it is an income, if you can make it both then Kudos to you.

I am constantly writing scripts and developing projects in hopes of getting another film in the can and out to the market.  BOUNTY has been a huge learning experience for me and has inspired me to continue to get better at my craft.
